This summer is Sizzlin’ with North Carolina’s first Millionaire Raffle. Tickets go on sale May 11th and will end when the last ticket is sold or at 2:00 am on July 4, 2007, whichever comes first. The winning numbers will be drawn on July 4th! The clock has started for the best odds ever to win a million dollars from the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Winning numbers will be available on this website, at NCEL retailers and by phone at the NCEL Player Hotline 877-962-7529.
In addition, the following television stations will show the winning numbers for the $1 million winning tickets and the $100,000 winning tickets during their evening and nightly newscasts on the day of the drawing:

WILM-TV (Wilmington)

How Do I Claim My Winnings?
You can claim winnings of $1,000 at any NCEL Regional Claim Center. $100,000 and million dollar winnings tickets must be claimed in person at NCEL Headquarters.
How will the winning raffle tickets be selected?
The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is very serious about the security and integrity of our games. The winning numbers will be selected by a computerized random number generator. The random number generator software has been certified using widely accepted statistical analysis formulas by Gaming Laboratories International, an outside gaming device and systems testing laboratory. As with all NCEL drawings, representatives of the NCEL's Security Department and an external auditor will be present to conduct and certify the drawing.
- Tickets are $20 each.
- Tickets will automatically print from the terminal with ticket numbers issued in sequential order as they are sold around the state. As a result, if a player buys more than one ticket at a time, the tickets may not be in numeric order.
- No additional tickets will be available for purchase when all 500,000 tickets are sold.
- Odds of winning will vary based on the number of tickets sold. Stated odds are based on 500,000 tickets being sold.
- Tickets will be computer generated; players cannot pick their own numbers.
- Only one raffle number will be printed on each ticket.
- Tickets cannot be cancelled and multi-draw plays are not available.
- To win, players must match their numbers exactly to the numbers drawn.
- There will only be one drawing on July 4, 2007. (Drawing date is subject to change.)
- Players must have their original Millionaire Raffle ticket to claim their prize.
- Prizes must be claimed within 180 calendar days of the drawing.
