How do you play Carolina Pick 4 with SUM IT UP?

Add SUM IT UP to your Carolina Pick 4 ticket and
if the sum of the numbers you select matches
the sum of the numbers drawn, you win!
For example:
If you play Carolina Pick 4 and select the numbers: 2 –
4 – 6 – 8; the sum of those numbers is 20. Add SUM IT
UP to your play for an extra way to win.
If the numbers 1 – 3 – 7– 9 are drawn, you win the Sum
it Up prize, because the sum of 1+3+7+9= 20. You do
not have to match the Pick 4 drawing numbers to win
on the SUM IT UP feature. Either of these tickets would
win the SUM IT UP prize in our example:
Step 1
Select a 4-digit number to play Carolina Pick 4.
Choose the way you’d like to match your numbers
to the winning numbers: Exact Order, Any Order,
Exact/Any Order (50/50) or a Combo Play.
Step 2
Give your Pick 4 playslip to your lottery retailer
and ask the retailer to add SUM IT UP. SUM IT UP
will be added to each play you have completed
(Play A through Play E) on your Pick 4 playslip.
You can add SUM IT UP to each play for $.50 or
$1.00. Adding SUM IT UP will cost an additional
$.50 on a $.50 Pick 4 play and will cost an additional
$1.00 when added to a $1.00 Pick 4 play.
The words “SUM IT UP” and the sum of the numbers
played will be printed on your ticket.

Remember, if the sum of your numbers is the same
as the sum of the numbers drawn, you win the
SUM IT UP prize. With SUM IT UP, you don’t have
to match the exact numbers drawn, just the sum.
SUM IT UP can be played for both day and evening
drawings for Pick 4 and can be added to any of the
Pick 4 play types.
How much you can win playing SUM IT UP depends
on whether you play for $.50 or for $1.00, as well
as the odds of winning for your sum. See the prize
chart for exact payout information. The odds of
matching some number combinations are greater
than others. The greater the odds, the more you win.
The top SUM IT UP prize of $5,000 can only be won
by playing 0-0-0-0 or 9-9-9-9 for $1.00, adding SUM
IT UP for additional $1.00, and matching the sum of
the numbers drawn.
You must ask for and purchase the SUM IT UP
feature to win a prize for matching the sum. If SUM
IT UP is purchased, the Pick 4 ticket will display the
words “SUM IT UP.” If you do not purchase the Sum
It Up feature when buying your ticket, you will not
win a prize for matching the sum drawn.
