How to Play Carolina Pick 3

Beginning Monday, March 31, 2008, lottery players will have a new opportunity to play an old favorite, when a daytime drawing is added to our popular Carolina Pick 3 game. Sales for the first drawing will kick off on March 30, 2008. That's right; players will have two chances to play and two chances to win with Carolina Pick 3!
Pick 3 Daytime Draw QUICK FACTS
- Sales for new daytime drawing start March 30th.
- First daytime drawing is March 31st.
- Tickets sales for each daytime drawing close at 2:45pm each day at "draw break."
- No sales will occur for Pick 3 Day or Evening during draw break.
- Daytime drawing occurs at 3:00pm.
- No Sunday daytime drawings.
- Multi-Draw and Advance Play available for new drawing.
- Ticket cost, prizes and play options remain the same.
- Daytime drawings will not be televised, but a webcast will be available for viewing on the NCEL website.
- Evening Pick 3 drawings will continue to be televised at 11:22pm.
Drawing results are available from the following sources:
- Webcast at nc-educationlottery.org, WRAL.com, WITNTV.com, WCNC.com, WILM-TV.com and a link to the NCEL official Web site from carolinacws.com.
- Television posting - The above mentioned television stations will show the daytime numbers on the air starting at approximately 3:30 p.m. depending on their program schedules.
- Player Hotline - Call the NCEL toll free player hotline at 877-962-7529 or visit their local NCEL retailer.
- E-mail Updates - Sign up to receive automatic winning number updates via e-mail or text message by going to the home page and clicking on the “Receive Lottery Updates!” button to register
New playslips will be available giving players the choice to play the daytime drawing, the evening drawing, or both! Players choose DAY DRAW to play daytime draws only, or choose EVENING DRAW to play evening draws only. Choosing BOTH DRAWS will allow the player to play both DAY and EVENING draws.
The Multi-Draw and Advance Play options can still be used with either drawing; however, if a player chooses an entire week of Multi-Draw play for DAY DRAW, it will only be valid for six drawings instead of seven, since there is no daytime drawing on Sunday.
Counting Down to the Big Day!
As the addition of this daytime drawing approaches, Pick 3 Multi-Draws & Advance Play options will begin to be temporarily limited a week prior to the start of the new drawing. This is being done to transitition to the additional drawings. Advance Play and Mult-Draw will revert to their normal offering on March 30th. (See the chart for specific details)
